Introducing the 518 Futures Legacy Award

The 518 Futures Games are proud to introduce a new tradition in 2026 — the 518 Futures Legacy Award, presented by Legacy Collaborative.

Created to celebrate the values that make sports meaningful, the Legacy Award recognizes individuals who embody the spirit of "For the Love of the Game."

Each year, one recipient will be honored at the 518 Futures Baseball Classic and one recipient will be honored at the 518 Futures Softball Classic. Recipients may be student-athletes, coaches, mentors, or other influential members of the Capital Region baseball and softball communities and are not required to be participants in the 518 Futures Games.

The award celebrates those who demonstrate exceptional character, leadership, sportsmanship, community involvement, and a commitment to making a positive impact on others. While athletic achievement is certainly valued, the Legacy Award seeks to recognize individuals whose influence extends far beyond the field.

Whether through service, mentorship, coaching, leadership, perseverance, or dedication to the development of young athletes, recipients represent the very best of what baseball and softball mean to our communities.

The 518 Futures Legacy Award honors those who leave a lasting mark on the game—not simply through wins and accomplishments, but through the lives they impact and the example they set for future generations.
